Installation

Rubber Brick, Paver and Panel Installation on Sandbed

  • The Planet Paver products will be installed in a concrete frame (depending on which kind you choose, bricks or panels). They are installed on a 3-4 inch thick rough sand or crushed gravel that is leveled for drainage and compacted thoroughly for weight resistance. Then a 1⁄2-3⁄4 inch thick finer grade sand will be leveled on the compacted bed, without compacting. This is the layer which will support the bricks or panels directly and firmly, assuring toughness and at the same time helps it to remain flexible. The panels can be installed in a connect support, or can be connected with plastic connector hooks supplied on request.

Installation on Hard Surfaces

  • We recommend that any size and shape of the Planet Pavers to be glued to the surface, as it will be instructed to do on the glue container, which will be provided upon request.
*Do not try to glue these products on freshly poured concrete*
The surface needs to be free of sand, oil and water. The product will be installed by applying a small amount of glue on the four corners only. This is important because if the entire bottom is glued, it will stop the flow of water away from the pavers. In areas with cooler temperatures, the water will freeze on top and in the pavers, and may destroy the installation.
Planet Paver products installed on hard surfaces and used for parking or heavy objects temporarily placed on the surfaces, will not create a noticeable change in this products shape or surface.
